April 22, 2014 - Day 43 - Evelyn gained 30 grams today which means that if she gains weight again tomorrow she will likely be discharged this week. At this point it is a waiting game. We are taking it easy during the day so as to not exhaust her with weight gain in mind. She is very alert when she wakes up for her feedings and looks around, focusing her attention on whoever is speaking or the direction of a noise (there are lots of interesting noises in the NICU).
