April 18, 2014 - Day 39 - Evelyn had her feeding tube removed this morning! It is so nice to see her face without any tubes or tape. She is doing a wonderful job eating everything by mouth, and her doctor mentioned that we might be discharged as early as Tuesday, April 22! Of course a number of things have to be accomplished before Evelyn can leave the hospital, but the prospect of going home so soon is exciting! We have a low key Easter planned with lots of family time with Oma, Opa and Aunt Stephie.
